Mottahedeh "Diplomatic Service"
Porcelain
The Diplomatic Service was designed by Mottahedeh especially for the diplomatic reception rooms of the Department of State and the White House. Pieces from the collection may also be found in many U.S. embassies around the world. The designs are adapted from Chinese export porcelain, circa 1810, bearing one of the earliest depictions of the American eagle found in ceramic decoration.
Diplomatic Service Eagle Dessert Plate, $95.00; shown with the Fitzhugh Border Dinner Plate from the Mandarin Bouquet dinnerware collection, $105.00.
