The frist Preseident of the United States and noted Virginian George Washington (1732-1799) is here preserved in a life-like bust. This authentically detailed bust of Washington is based on an original sculpted by Jean-Antoine Houdon and presented as a gift to Washingotn. Houdon was one of the most celebrated portrait sculptors of his day. He was commissioned by kings and great men all over Europe to render their likenesses in stone. The large bust is 11.5"; the small bust is 6". Also available in bronze.
